My Shoplet.com transaction can't be described any better than smooth and trouble-free. This may be my first, but it's definitely not my last purchase from Shoplet.com.

After spending about a month scouting-out numerous local office furniture/office supply stores in search of a new computer/task chair, I eventually decided on a HON 'Unanimous' Series high-back executive chair. The average price I'd seen hovered around the $500 mark; however, all of these stores had stated that a chair of this type (and price range) would have to be 'special ordered'.

Heck, I figured that I could just as easily order the chair myself if these 'big name' stores had to do it themselves, so, I entered my search requirements into Google, which directed me to Epinions, and then onto Shoplet.com

At first, I was somewhat dismayed at all of the negative comments I had read regarding Shoplet.com, but I was eventually 'swayed' by the positive comments which were much more informative. So, I chose my chair, filled-out my order/payment information, crossed my fingers, and 'hit' the enter key.

Remarkably, I placed my order (over the internet) during the late evening hours of Thursday the 5th, received an order confirmation from Shoplet.com via e-mail on the morning of Friday the 6th, and then received the my new chair this afternoon, Monday the 9th.

My new chair was received just as described and pictured, and in perfect condition. The delivery driver (common carrier, due to the pre-assembled chair's size/weight limitations) was extremely pleasant, and delivered the large shipping carton inside my home without even being asked.

I must say that although I was rather hesitant at first about dealing with Shoplet.com (after reading so many negative comments from others), I'm just glad that I gave Shoplet.com the benefit of the doubt and placed my order anyway. Not only did I save nearly 50% as compared to the various office supply/furniture stores which I had visited, but I also didn't have to pay sales tax on the transaction either. The chair was delivered to my home and then hand-carried inside my residence for free in only a couple of days...much quicker and a lot cheaper than what the office supply stores were able to guarantee...what else could I ask for?

Since I'm somewhat computer savvy, negotiating any website is absolutely no problem for me whatsoever, and the Shoplet.com website was just as easy as any other I've ever encountered. The items are easy enough to locate, their contact information is readily available, and they also have a 'real time' shipment tracking link (if the item was shipped via UPS or FedEx) which is very informative and easy to access.

Now, I must admit that I too experienced the 'your order has been captured for processing' message that others have also received; however, I've also experienced similar order update lagtime with other websites throughout the years, so it didn't bother me in the least. Besides, Shoplet had both a toll-free phone number and a customer service contact e-mail address...just in case I became impatient and felt it fitting to eventually contact them.

Since I'm disabled and it sometimes does take a while for me to answer the door, I thought that it just might be a good idea to maybe contact Shoplet for an ETA, so I'd have a better idea of when to expect the delivery driver. Besides, I didn't want to miss the driver, only to be instructed by a note on my door advising me that my chair can be picked-up at the delivery service terminal...a near impossibility for me to accomplish.

Well, Shoplet.com was easy to contact via e-mail (all of the required contact information is listed on their website), and they quickly responded to my e-mail in only a few hours time. Since their customer service department had previously advised me that the assembled chair was too large to be shipped via UPS or FedEx, but would have to be shipped via special delivery/messenger service (requiring my signature as 'proof of delivery'), I e-mailed them again asking for a specific ETA.

Shoplet quickly responded with a courteous and informative e-mail that included the exact shipping date and ETA, as well as an additional customer service contact number to call just in case I had any further questions regarding my order. Strangely and coincidentally enough, a few hours later, I was greeted at the door by a delivery/messenger service driver who corroborated what Shoplet.com had earlier advised me.

As with the majority of all internet-based businesses, although Shoplet does offer guaranteed buyer satisfaction, one is instructed to contact the product manufacturer for any technical advice, product support, and for all in/out-of-service warranty replacement and/or repair...not unusual for an internet-based business by any means.

As a retired business management professional, formerly responsible for ordering everything from pencils to specialized service vehicles, I would say that this was by far the quickest transaction (from point of order to point of delivery that I have ever encountered). I was and am still thoroughly impressed with Shoplet's prices and their commitment to quality customer service.
